Lapachhapi Is India’s Next ‘Destination Horror’

India is home to many haunted places, like the rest of the world. Somehow, there’s not much posted about these places. Everybody in the local area knows about them and only when a film’s made about such a place, there’s some buzz. Bollywood failed badly with ‘Trip to Bhangarh’, a film that promised to unravel the secrets of one of the most haunted places in the world. You can read our review of the film via this link.

Now, there’s a Marathi film that seems to be about another real haunted destination named ‘Lapachhapi’. 


Pooja Sawant plays a role in the upcoming Marathi Horror Film Lapachhapi

The name ‘Lapachhapi’ means ‘hide-and-seek’ and details about the film only recently appeared online. The Lapachhapi Facebook page tells us about some of the haunted places in India. Currently, it looks like the film’s starcast comprises of Pooja Sawant. Vishal Furia directs the film.

Lapachhapi has won several awards on the global circuit. It will be interesting to see what the film will be all about. Lapachhapi releases on the 14th of July.
