Tyler Perry releases Boo 2! A Madea Halloween this October

Tyler Perry is consistent with his Madea series. This October though, Tyler takes his Madea character to a second outing in the horror comedy zone with Boo 2! A Madea Halloween. The first film, Boo! A Madea Halloween was released in 2016 and is the second biggest grosser in the Madea franchise. The film was also nominated for three Golden Raspberry Awards, so it’s pretty bold of Lionsgate to make another one.

As far as the trailer shows, a female relative of the Madea family decides to go to a party that her college has – a place that’s hosted sixteen murderers. While that’s the story, the trailer tells us that Madea spoofs iconic characters from horror series, like the girl in Ring, Leatherface, chainsaw wielding guy from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and others.

Boo 2! A Madea Halloween stars:

  1. Tyler Perry as Mabel “Madea” Simmons, Brian Simmons and Uncle Joe Simmons
  2. Cassi Davis as Betty Ann “Aunt Bam” Murphy
  3. Patrice Lovely as Hattie Mae Love
  4. Chandra Currelley as Vivian “Miss V” Johnston
  5. Taja V Simpson as Deborah Simmons
